Golden Hour Soda, Kava, Tea, Drip Coffee
Golden Hour is an alcohol-free kava bar pouring micro-brewed botanical sodas, loose-leaf teas, traditional kava, and specialty coffee.
You can come in after work and linger without rushing anywhere. Pool tables, ping pong, games, books, and music come with your drink purchase. Live music, themed Kava-oke nights, talent shows, open mics, and game nights fill the calendar, and Thursdays go to local showcases.
There are 11 micro-brewed sodas on tap. Ask for a sample if you cannot pick. Many of the loose-leaf teas give three to five steeps, including a Capitol Lake Walk blend and a rotating feature from Mad Hat Tea Co. in Tacoma. Peruvian sea moss is made in-house with mango and pineapple. Drinks come to go, and growlers are available.
Founder Chad Cate opened Golden Hour in 2024 after working at a kava bar in South Florida. No alcohol is served, and intoxication is not welcome.
